Something that you may not have thought about until you were already knee-deep in gutter shopping is which types of gutters would best suit your home.
We offer four types of gutters: half-round, box-style, K-style, and seamless.
- Half-round gutters are the most noticeable of gutter systems and are probably the kind you think of first. They have a simple half-moon shape, with the widest side of the moon facing up to catch the rain. They’re a classic style found on many homes.
- Box-style gutters are built directly into the eaves of a house, leaving a subtle silhouette that is difficult to notice from far away. They consist of a wooden frame, coated in a thin layer of metal to prevent debris from rotting. These are often found on older houses.
- K-style gutters are more angular with an internal cross-section that loosely resembles the letter K. These give your roof a finished, refined look, and are often easier to clean than other types of gutters.
- Seamless gutters are designed to reduce the amount of potential leaks in your gutter system by using longer sections of pipes. By doing this, the seams between the parts of your gutter are fewer and farther between, which minimizes potential weak points in your gutter system.
It can be a lot to decide which gutter styles call to you and match your house. That’s why we at Empire Gutters are dedicated to helping you decide which types of gutters will be best for your own personal taste and the needs of your property.
