Your gutter replacement should, overall, be unobtrusive to your daily schedule. That being said, here are some things you should expect during your gutter replacement process.
- Your roof shape can impact how long a replacement takes. Part of what our professionals look for when replacing gutters is the slope of your roof. If your roof has a particularly complex shape, our professionals will have to take that into account to ensure that there is no pooling happening anywhere. If your roof is simple enough in shape, a replacement may only take a day. However, depending on the complexity of its shape, it may take multiple days of work to ensure that everything has been accounted for.
- People may be on and around your roof. If you are home, you may hear footsteps over your head, see shadows crossing over your windows, or even see workers on ladders outside. We will do our best to be unobtrusive, and we will take every precaution to protect the rest of your house during the process. However, if you have video meetings or audio recordings you regularly do, you might want to consider planning your gutter replacement for a time when you do not have to do those things, or plan to be elsewhere during that time.
- You will, for a short time, be gutter-less. In the process of replacing your gutters, our professionals will have to remove the old ones. During this time, you will not have any gutters. In emergency situations, it is of course impossible to plan when you will need gutter replacement. But, if you think you might need a replacement soon, try to schedule your replacement during a dry spell, when you are fairly certain there won’t be any rain.
Gutter replacement is one of the more unobtrusive household renovation projects, but it can still bring peace of mind to feel prepared for the process.
